Following very dismal results for the supplementary exams across the country, NSOA’s final CTA pass rate in aggregate was 41% for the 174 CTA 1 and CTA 2 students registered on the Deluxe programme in 2012…
The more detailed break-down of the results is as follows:
CTA 1 students:
Cape Town – 16 out of 47 passed (34%)
Durban – 11 out of 24 passed (46%)
National – 27 out of 71 passed (38%)
CTA 2 students:
Cape Town – 35 out of 78 passed (45%)
Durban – 10 out of 25 passed (40%)
National – 45 out of 103 passed (44%)
Final UNISA national pass rates were 21% for CTA 1 and 29% for CTA 2, making the above NSOA results still pretty decent! It is really unfortunate that the Manac supplementary exam seemed to be really tough and sank a lot of students.
We none-the-less congratulate all those CTA students who made it in 2012. We know how tough the year is and passing CTA is truly a great achievement.
We look forward to getting those pass rates back up to the 50%+ range in 2013! Bring it on!
