Training on Independent Reviews for anyone performing these. Focusing on understanding the regulatory background to reviews as well as the ISRE 2400 requirements, and in particular, how these requirements differ from those of an audit.
This morning-only session focuses on teaching staff (SAICA trainees, or others) who are conducting reviews how to do them in the most efficient and cost-effective manner. Do your trainees fully understand the differences in requirements between audits, compilations, and independent reviews? Trainees often approach independent reviews with an “auditing mindset” and this typically results in more work being performed than is necessary.
The following content will be covered through the session:
Understanding the differences in requirements between audits, compilations, and reviews
Understanding the regulatory requirements around reviews
Understanding the reportable irregularity requirements for reviews
Understanding the ISRE 2400 requirements relating to the entire review process
Understanding the specific requirements around evidence gathering (inquiry and analytical review procedures)
Fees for this on-line session are R 550 per person, ex VAT.
The workshop can also be presented very effectively on an in-house basis (on-line or face-to-face) where the whole firm can be taken through the content. In-house rates for 2022 are R7 500 ex VAT for up to 25 participants, with a further fee of R350 per additional participant over 25.
